One Time Application Fee
$29.95 Registration Kit
The PREPAYEDGE™ MasterCard® Registration Kit contains the personal Access Code which is used to complete a PREPAYEDGE Prepaid MasterCard® application.
Registration Kits can be purchased in person at participating retailers, or online at Credit-Cards.ca. Credit-Cards.ca is an official online distributor of the PREPAYEDGE Registration Kit. Credit-Cards.ca is not responsible for processing or reviewing applications, and is not a card issuer. Instead, Credit-Cards.ca provides convenient and easy access to the Registration Kit, allowing users to purchase the Registration Kit online.
Once you have purchased your Registration Kit on the Credit-Cards.ca website, you will be issued your personal Access Code. You will proceed to the PREPAYEDGE Prepaid MasterCard® Activation Form and enter your Access Code to complete your registration. Your personalized card will be issued within 14 business days.
Monthly Fee
$6.95 Monthly Maintenance Fee
This is the monthly charge for maintaining your account.
Usage Fees
$5.50 Paper Statement Fee
This is an optional charge, and is only done if you contact customer service to request a paper statement be mailed to you. Note that you may view your account online for free at any time.
$5.00 Inactive Fee
This fee is only charged if your card expires, and you have unused money remaining on the card. The fee is charged monthly for each month the card remains inactive after the expiry date shown on the card.
$2.00 ATM Withdrawal/Cash Advance Fee
This fee is charged when you use your PREPAYEDGE card to take a cash advance or use it in an ATM cash withdrawal transaction.
$1.50 ATM Balance Inquiry/Transaction History Fee
This fee is charged when you use an ATM machine to request a balance inquiry/transaction history.
$3.00 Load Fees
This fee is charged when you load funds onto your PREPAYEDGE Prepaid MasterCard®
$5.00 Card to Card Transfer
This fee is charged for transferring from funds from one PREPAYEDGE Prepaid MasterCard® to another PREPAYEDGE Prepaid MasterCard®
$15.00 Refund Processing Fee
This fee is charged for processing a refund of any unused funds upon expiration of the card. Funds are returned to the cardholder by check upon their request, minus the $15 processing fee.
$20.50 Replacement Card Fee
This fee is charged if you lose your card, and must have a replacement card issued.
$15.00 Chargeback Fee
This fee is charged if you must contact customer service to request that charges be reversed for a particular transaction.
International Fees (When purchasing outside of Canada)
$3.00 ATM Withdrawal/Cash Advance Fee
This fee is charged when doing a cash withdrawal, or cash advance from an international ATM machine. (ATM not in Canadian dollars, or located outside of Canada)
2.75% Foreign Transaction Fee
Foreign currency transactions are only applied when using the PREPAYEDGE Prepaid MasterCard® to purchase in a currency outside of Canadian dollars. For example, purchases at stores and ATMs outside of Canada. These transactions will be converted to Canadian dollars under the applicable rules of MasterCard® International.
